Seneca Loses to Paul VI

The Seneca Golden Eagles knew they had a tough battle to fight being down by a score of 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. Seneca?s offense responded with a touchdown by Sean Carroll in the second quarter with a good kick by Tom Schiraldi. Then in the third quarter, Tim Meise ran in six yards for a touchdown. But it stopped there. Seneca?s defense contained the Paul VI offense during the second and third quarters, but they could not stop them from putting up three touchdowns in the fourth, leading to a final score of 34 to 13. Our record is now 4 and 2 and for the patriot division, 3 and 1.

This loss makes it very difficult for Seneca to win the Burlington-Olympic Football League Partriot conference Championship. Paul VI would have to lose the next game against Northern Burlington, and they remain undefeated.

The fans supported their Golden Eagles, even though the events were not going Seneca's way. The marching band also stopped in to pump up our fans after competing earlier in the day at a competition.

The Seneca Golden Eagles will play Pemberton this upcoming Saturday at 1:30 in the afternoon.
