Seneca QB, Tom Massucci, Out for the Season after injury

Posted Friday, September 14, 2007 by Douglas Melegari
Seneca High School 2007 Varsity Season quarterback Tom Massucci , #7, has waited since freshman year to be the starting quarterback for the Varsity, Golden Eagles Football team. This year is Massucci's senior year and he got his chance.

But, during the third play, of the first game, of the 2007 season, Tom Massucci suffered a foot injury. It has been determined that Massucci will have to be out the entire season as he recovers from the injury. He broke a bone and tore a ligament. Massucci will undergo two rounds of surgery. The first operation on his foot will take place on September 20, 2007. That is the day of the Seneca VS. Shawnee game. The news of a season ending injury has been devastating for everyone that's knows Tom Massucci.

Current plans are to have sophomore and backup Quarterback Bill Limpert, #18, to be the replacement for Tom Massucci. Josh Brown, # 15, will serve as Limpert's backup. Josh Brown is a junior, but he is just getting back into the swing of things after recovering from an appendix failure. Brown just got approval to be allowed to participate in practice and the games a few days ago.

The coaches, friends, and the Seneca student body will continue to support Tom Massucci and his family through the injury recovery process.
